The 2016 – Vacations Expo was the first of its kind travel exhibition hosted to promote, lead and advance the travel and tourism industry and act as a perfect business platform that was attended by a huge number of locals and expats, trade professionals and business owners associated with travel sector both inbound and outbound.

Vacations Expo 2016 presented by Highrise was a 3 day event that took place from 04th August to 06th August at the National Art Gallery, Male’ Republic of Maldives. The event was endorsed by major travel NGO’s including MMPRC, MATATO, LAM and MNCCI.

With the presence of Minister of Economic Development; Honorable Mohamed Saeed as the Chief Guest of the Ceremony, the official opening was held on 04th August 2016 at 2.30pm accompanied by other Government officials, Parliament Members, Major Business Associates, VIPS and Media.

Vacations Expo 2016 had participants and exhibitors from big destinations in tourism such as Tourism Malaysia and Singapore Tourism Board. The event also consists of a Guest House Zone, Adventure Zone and major Airlines/Operators and Travel agents and activity service providers offering the best of everything for a holiday planner under one roof.

Vacations Expo will be an annual event of Highrise and our aim is to make the second edition of this travel exhibition bigger and better with more Exhibitors, programs, activities & Prizes to win.
